Welcome to the Hazards of InfoSec Blog!
I hope provide commentary around the Security Information industry, things I am working on, code I have written, and general advice from things I have seen around the internets.
Check the About section if you want a bit more information about who I am, where I come from, and what the general reason for this blog. I love the Blue Team aspect of Information Security and it is what I have detected my time, effort, and energy to. I like the thought process of always being behind the proverbial eight ball when it comes to InfoSec.
I am hoping to, at minimum, to add one new blog per week and on an ad-hoc basis, as the need arises (e.g. something major has come to light regarding InfoSec, think WannaCry). The topics will range from things I am thinking about the industry needs, to my take on particular issues I read about on Twitter, Reddit, or other mediums. Largely, I want to throw out some of the ideas I have, debate them, and get the industry talking more, well more than 140 characters at a time.
Some of my inspirations and people I hold in high regard are a bit of the reason I started to blog. They have helped form my thought processes, and have guided me, either from afar, or right next to me. Either way, I hope to one day be an inspiration to others.
With that, the thing I want more than anything is engagement. I want to converse about the merits of the direction of the industry, tooling, and ways of doing different tasks. If you think my approach is crazy/off-kilter/plain dumb, tell me, I’m open to being wrong and understanding your point-of-view, but I expect the same in return.
